Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Autonomous Database - Troy Ligon

Have you taken a look at OCI lately? If not, it might be time for you to revisit what Larry's minions have been up to. Over the past two years, Oracle has completely revamped their cloud envionment into a second generation cloud infrastructure. With 100gb ethernet and NVMe wire-speed throughout, they have spared no expense to make theirs the fastest of all public clouds. With Exadata X8M underpinnings sporting 19microsecond latencies, their Autonomous Database Offerings provide the ultimate in database performance.

Join us this month as our resident Oracle ACE, Troy Ligon, talks us through this topic. We'll begin with a brief overview and then drill into ATP - Autonomous Transaction Processing database.

With over 35 years of IT experience (30 of that focused on Oracle technology), Troy has travelled extensively, serving a variety of customers primarily in the Public Sector, Manufacturing, and Financial Services sectors. Troy is currently an Enterprise Architect for InComm, Inc, providing database direction for the next generation of database services across the enterprise. In addition to being a long-standing leader in our local SOUG, Troy is an Oracle ACE and also serves on the Board of Directors of the IOUG.
