For this month's guest speaker, I am very pleased to have my good friend and Oracle ACE Director, Rich Niemiec, joining us live (while remaining socially distant) from his home in Chicago, Illinois with a very interesting and timely topic. It seems that Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are definitely front of mind for almost all of the forward thinkers of our time. Rich's presentation will cover Oracle's ability to leverage AI and ML from within Oracle Advanced Analytics or using a GUI from one of their recent acquisitions. Soon every Oracle product will start to leverage AI/ML! Knowing when/where to leverage these advancements for yourself may be the difference between success & failure in the future. We'll look at the latest technology and algorithms that Oracle provides as part of the product, but also the CX products that are used to leverage AI/ML & Chatbots. We will explore how to leverage and integrate AI into your company's tech plan. We'll see the current state of AI & ML and how you can test and use this technology to create the future. We'll also look at the current Acceleration of the Cloud with the Big Data Revolution & Internet of Things (IOT) which will drive the Cloud even Faster. You'll see how to innovate better using leading edge Oracle products. Rich Niemiec is the Chief Innovation Officer of Viscosity North America. He is an Oracle ACE Director, a world-renowned IT expert, and was co-founder and CEO of TUSC, a Chicago-based systems integrator of Oracle-based business solutions started in 1988. With over 35 years of IT transformation experience, Rich has architected and tuned many Fortune 500 systems over the years; including M&M Mars, McDonald's Corp., Nokia, Navteq (MapQuest), University of Michigan, AT&T, and PepsiCo. Rich has served multiple terms as President of the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) as well as President of his local Midwest Oracle Users Group (MOUG). Rich's experience ranges from teaching to consulting, with an emphasis in database administration, performance tuning, project management, and technical education. He is one of six originally honored, worldwide Oracle Certified Masters and has advised Oracle development. Most Oracle DBAs have one or more of Rich's "Oracle Performance Tuning Tips & Techniques" books in their library. The Oracle8i, 9i, 10g, 11g, and 12c versions are all best sellers. Rich sums up his vision for Viscosity's future like this "As CIO at Viscosity, I will continue to drive customer solutions to leverage technology so our customers are innovative leaders in their industries..."
