June 27, 2017 Our facility host, Chuck Egerter, CEO of Eagle Datagistics, will be joining us this month to talk about the latest iteration of the Oracle Database Appliance. ODA is Oracle's integrated solution of database and systems software, server, storage, and networking, all in one box. ODA delivers tangible cost and performance benefits. With all flash storage, lots of compute, and lots of RAM, these boxes are amazing. Eagle currently has the big daddy of ODAs in their office, the X6-2 HA. Stop into the SOUG meeting and talk with them about scheduling time to come in and take it for a spin. Chuck Egerter is founder and president of Eagle Datagistics. He started the company in 2003. Chuck drives Eagle's daily business operations and manages the company's growth and profitability. He focuses on continued process improvement and making sure we have the right people and strategies in place to grow in a controlled manner. Under Chuck's leadership, Eagle has organically grown and is recognized as Florida's premier Oracle Partner. His vision for Eagle was inspired by his many years of IT Project Management and Business Development experience working for small boutique consulting companies and large enterprises like Lockheed Martin. Common for both is the need to maximize their ROI on data-based investments. Chuck recognized a common theme: the lack of underlying repeatable processes that create predictable results. Eagle Datagistics was created with process and predictable results as a guiding vision, while balancing the maturity of a big company with the Agility of a small one. Eagle has received many recognitions and nominations over the years including the Tampa Bay Business Journal's 2016 overall Best Place to Work Award, and multiple awards from Oracle, Grow FL, TBTF, and St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. He plays active roles in the local community and is an Ambassador for the Tampa Bay Partnership, a past President of the Board of Directors for the Deuces Live Mainstreet Association, and supporter of the entrepreneurial and start-up tech community in the Tampa Bay area. Chuck earned his BS Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
