Oracle Engineered Systems - Carlos Orozco, Oracle



This month Carlos Orozco will be providing us with an update on the latest generation of Oracle's Engineered Systems - Exadata, Exalogic, Exalytics, Virtual Compute Appliance, Database Appliance, etc. The line continues to grow and evolve with new systems being added as well as enhancements to the existing systems to provide mind boggling levels of performance. One of the latest entries, the M6, sports 384 Sparc CPU cores and 32TB of RAM.

Carlos has been working in IT since 1979, with a focus on Oracle database systems beginning in 1982. Since that time, he's worked with a variety of companies, including NASA, United Technologies, Citigroup, Teleport Communications, Merril Lynch, Omni Computer, Jini Micro, Port Authority of NY & NJ, The New York Times, Intermedia Communications, Smiths Aerospace, Danka, OutBack, Uniroyal Opto Electronics, Andor Capitol, Cisco Education, Price waterhouse Coopers, Dept of Revenue Chicago, and Sapient. He joined Oracle Corp. in 2006 as a sales consultant, helping customers leverage Oracle database technology. Carlos has been evangelizing Exadata and Engineered Systems since their inception.
