The All Flash Database - Randy Cook, Violin Memory
For years, when we talked about memory and databases, we were looking at cache. With the current advances in flash memory technology (and it's corresponding declining price points), the age of the all flash database is upon us. This month, Randy Cook with Violin Memory will be joining us to discuss this disruptive technology and the paradigm shift that it is driving.
Randy has been an Oracle professional for over eighteen years. He began his career as a US Navy Avionics Engineer repairing radar systems for F-14 Tomcats. From there he has held consulting roles with a variety of firms, including IBM, Tek Systems, and TUSC(Rolta) amoungst others. Currently Randy is a Consulting Engineer based out of Denver for Violin Memory Inc.
