Troy's Tuning Tips Take 2 - Troy Ligon



We once again find ourselfs with a speaker cancellation on short notice, so Troy is going to provide another episode in his popular series, "Troy's Tuning Tips".

Most recently, Troy has been addressing a number of Performance Issues while dealing with relatively large datasets and ETL processes. Many of these investigations ended up with a primary focus on I/O. This month, Troy will share a few of the tools he's developed to aid him in these investigations, as well as some of the insight's he's learned along the way.

Troy Ligon is a Solutions Architect for The Nielsen Corporation as well as the long-time President of the SOUG. Troy has over 30 years experience in the IT field and has focused on Oracle systems for the past 25+ years. Over the course of his career, Troy has held positions at Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, CitiBank, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, as well as run his own successful consulting company, catering to the Oracle needs of the Public Sector and Utility Billing markets.
