Orace OLAP - John Paredes

With the release of version 9i, Oracle incorporated a variety of Analytical Processing commands into the Enterprise Edition of their RDBMS. These commands added the ability to work with the multidimensional cube data structures previously available only in specialty Business Intelligence systems. This month the author of The Multidimensional Data Modeling Toolkit will be joining us to shed some light on this very interesting topic that many DBAs are still in the dark on.

John Paredes is president of OLAP World, Inc. He has developed analytical applications for a diverse range of client corporations over a 15 year time frame and is also a trainer and developer of instructional materials for Oracle OLAP. He is an experienced speaker on the use of multidimensional analytical models, data mining, and exert systems. John holds a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Rice University and an M.Phil. Degree in Statistics from Yale University.
