Data Management - Sun Microsystems

Michael Sweeney, Enterprise Architect for Sun Microsystems, will be discussing Data Management in Oracle environments. This presentation will describe and explore the architectural details of managing, provisioning, maintaining, and instrumenting Oracle data with the Zettabyte File System. ZFS is a 128-bit filesystem originally developed by Sun for Solaris, but later released as an open-source project. It eliminates the need for traditional Volume Managers.

Michael Sweeney is a 22-year IT veteran, and has been supporting Sun Microsystems' customers in Georgia and Florida for the past seven years. He has worked and developed on Oracle platforms for 15 years, beginning with Oracle 6 in 1992.
